If an earthquake occurs, the shock can set off a tsunami wave in the ocean. This module focuses on modeling such a wave to predict when and where the wavefront will hit land. Although the governing differential equation is a partial differential equation, this module introduces the problem and frames it using basic multivariable calculus and differential equations terminology.
